ABOUT
In this challenging time amidst pandemic, HKUST hopes to stay connected with its members while we are maintaining social distance. Although we may not be able to stay together in person, we hope to show care and support via interactions with our fellow colleagues, students and friends on various digital platforms. A collection of HKUST stickers is expected to strengthen bonding within the HKUST community and spread care, mutual support and positive energy. The entry of the Champion (and may be the entries of the first and second runner-ups) will be made available to the HKUST community and the public for downloading after the announcement of results.
OBJECTIVES
- Strengthen bonding within the University and beyond with the community
- Cultivate a sense of belonging with HKUST
- Spread love, care, mutual support and positive vibes to members and friends of HKUST
- Create a series of fun visual resources with HKUST identity for members to spice up their daily life conversations and interaction on social media
ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be full-time/ part-time students studying at HKUST. They may enter the competition either as individual entrants, or in a team consisted of no more than four students. Each student can only participate in one entry, either as an individual entrant or part of a group.
Assessment
The judging panel consisting of representatives from the University’s Dean of Students' Office, Public Affairs Office, and professionals from the design/ marketing field will review the submissions and select the best 5 entries*. Students, staff and alumni of HKUST will then be invited to vote for their favorite among the Top 5*. The voting result will contribute 30% to the total score, while the scores given by the judging panel weigh 70%. Entries with the highest total scores will be named the Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up respectively. The remaining two from the Top 5* will receive the Merit Awards.
The Champion’s entry (and may be the entries of the first and second runner-ups) will be publicized and made available to the public and the HKUST community, and may be adapted to stickers for other social media platforms.
*Due to intense competition and tied scores, top six entries were selected by judging panel instead of five after a detailed deliberation.
